PROFOTO ROADSHOW STOCKHOLM

After Amsterdam, Brussels, Berlin and London, the Profoto Roadshow went to Stockholm, Profoto’s home base.

We hosted masterclasses with Mira & Tilda Berglind, Martina Warenfeldt and Jessica Wikström. They shared their workflow, their approach to lighting and the ideas behind their images. Profoto’s product specialists were available all day for questions and testing. We had snacks and drinks, and at the end of the event everyone could shoot in the masterclass sets with the models and gear.

The event is aimed at professional photographers, but also at those who just want to learn more about lighting. The workshops go beyond the technical side. They often touch on the concept behind an image, the choices made, and the practical workflow of working photographers. Seeing how they use light, and why, is what many visitors find interesting.

I took the 3 images below during the Touch & Try session.

New photo event formats on there way!

I co-produce the Profoto Roadshow together with Laurence de Groot, EMEA Event Manager at Profoto. My role focuses on marketing and production. With my background as a photographer, my experience in marketing strategy and the network I’ve built over the years, this is the perfect event for me to contribute to. Together we shape a program that fits what photographers are looking for today.

We always aim for a solid mix of lighting setups: simple and smart one-light or small-light setups that anyone can apply, combined with more advanced setups for photographers who want to dive deeper. This keeps the Profoto Roadshow accessible and valuable for both newer and more experienced photographers.

In 2026 we’ll introduce a few new formats as well. The feedback we receive is very helpful, and we use it to shape events that are easy to join and valuable for the Profoto Roadshow Community. If you want to receive invites for future Roadshows, masterclasses or road trips, send me a message and I’ll add you to the mailing list.

SONY RX1R Mark 3

TESTING the smallest full frame 60 MP compact camera in Stockholm

I usually try to stay one or two extra days when we’re in a new city. It gives me time to explore, walk around with a camera and sometimes plan an additional photoshoot. On this page you’ll find not only a few images from the Roadshow, but also some photos I made in Stockholm while testing the new compact Sony RX1 III (thank you @Colorwood) as a street photography camera. The Sony RX1 mark3 is the smallest Full Frame (60MP) camera in the market with a fixed 35mm F2.0 lens. It really fits in your pocket! I will publish a Sony RX1R mark 3 review soon. Follow me on Instagram to be informed when the review is published.

The first photo Is a (Capture One) stich from 6 photo's with a shutter speed of 30 seconds each. With a mini tripod on a wooden bench, so not 100% stable, so not every part is 100% sharp, but impressive from s small camera like the RX1. The thirth photo is a manual HDR of 5 photo's with 1 stop exposure in between to see details even it was dark, you can zoom in to see the effect. The fourth photo is against the sun in DRO mode. Most photo's of the Profoto event on this page are taken with the Sony RX1 M3 also. More sample photo's will be post in the review.
